Winners of Bendre Bhavageete and Arivu Quiz contests

Mysuru:  The annual event under ‘Bendre Vedike’ of Chaitra High School and PU College was held at the College auditorium recently. More than 200 students from 20 different Schools participated in Bendre Bhavageete contest and ‘Arivu’ General Knowledge Quiz contest.

The programme was inaugurated by Sanskrit Scholar Ramachandra Bhat of Sadvidya PU College, Mysuru.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandra Bhat highlighted Bendre works and his dedicated life to Kannada literature. He also inspired the children to read Bendre’s literature, quoting several of his poems and its concrete and abstract meanings.

In the Bendre Geetha Gaayana competition, 1st prize was bagged by Ashritha Kiran Seshan of Acharya Vidya Kula, 2nd prize by Nihal Prakash of Sadvidya High School, Vinuthan Kulal of Kautilya Vidyalaya won the 3rd prize and G. Maya of Chaitra High School was awarded the consolation prize. 

Renowned musicians of Mysuru, Meera Manjunath and Lalitha Srinivasan, were the Judges for the Singing Competition. 

Two teams of three students each from JSS Public School, Sidhartha Layout, one team each from Sadvidya High School and Lions Seva Nikethan got selected for the final oral rounds.

The final oral round, which consisted of Literature and Fine Arts, Sports, Mental Ability, Role Play, Connect Them, Infotainment, Experimental Round, Story Board and Rapid Fire, kindled the spark in the young minds.

Tanmay Goudar, Mohnish Sukadhare and Y.S. Poorvik Gowda of JSS Public School, Siddharthnagar, got the first prize while G. Dhyan, U. Suhas and P. Surya of Sadvidya High School bagged the 2nd prize.

Sadvidya High School won the Rolling Trophy for the overall performance.

Chaitra Educational Institution Chairman S. Gururaj, Treasurer  Pushpalatha, Principal Vani Sivakumar, Head Mistress Geetha Barki, invited guests and teachers of represented schools were present on the occasion.
