Mysuru: The Department of Physical Education, Teresian Pre-University College, celebrated the Annual Sports Meet at Teresian College Sports Ground recently.

The Meet started off with the hoisting of the College Sports Flag by Dr. Dayananda, Deputy Director, PU Education Board, Mysuru District. The programme was inaugurated by releasing the balloon by Christopher, retired PE Director, St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru. Rev. Dr. Sr. Sajitha, Director, St. Teresa’s Institutions, Mysuru, presided.

Rev. Sr. Anjali, Manager, Teresian Institutions, Mysuru, Rev. Dr. Sr. Prafula, Principal, Teresian PU College, Mysuru, Dr. Veena M.D. Almeida, Principal, Teresian FGC, Mysuru, Anthony Moses, PE Director, PU College, Mysuru, were the guests of honour.

V. Sadhana, Sports Committee Member, Teresian College, Mysuru, welcomed the guests. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Anto Richard, Sports Committee Member, Teresian PU College, Mysuru. Vote of thanks was proposed by Rabiya, Sports Committee Member, Teresian PU College, Mysuru.

The event included athletic events like 100 mts Race, 200 mts Race, 1500 mts Walking Race, Shot-Put, High-Jump, Long-Jump, Javelin-Throw, 4X100 mts Relay and Discus-Throw and Non-Sports Event like Lemon & Spoon Race, Gunny Bag Race and Australian Trolley.
