Winners of debate competition

Mysore/Mysuru: A District-level Inter-High School Kannada Debate Competition was organised by the city’s Dinesh Coaching Centre at Ideal Jawa Rotary Centre here yesterday.

Speaking after inaugurating the competition, Senior Photojournalist Pragathi Gopalakrishna called upon the students to grab every opportunity that comes in their way. He highlighted the significance of taking part in competitions.

Students from more than 20 schools took part in the debate which was held on the topic ‘Social media networks have been keeping people away from the society.’

Prize Winners

First Prize (Rs. 5,000):  Nadashri R. Bhat of B.M. Sri Vidyavardhaka School; Second Prize (Rs. 4,000): T.S. Srivibha of Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala; Third Prize (Rs. 3,000): G. Anusha of Sharada Public School; Consolation Prizes: Y.D. Sinchana of Sharada Public School and K.P. Sushant Raj of DMS.

Sharada Public School bagged the Overall Trophy.

Dinesh Coaching Centre Head Dinesh welcomed the gathering. Prashant Raj compered.
