Sultan Tipu Cricket Team emerged winners while M.C.S. Blasters bagged the runners-up spot in Season-8 of the Eid Meelad-un-Nabi Cricket Tournament organised by Mysore Meelad Cricket Association at Pavilion Grounds, University of Mysore, here recently.
A total of 24 teams participated, in which Sultan Tipu Team secured the first place, M.C.S. Blasters bagged the second place and Mysore Titans secured the third place.
In the final match held on Sept. 24, M.C.S. Blasters gave a target of 134 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs and Sultan Tipu Team scored 135 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 19.1 overs.
Rohan Naveen, who scored 43 runs and bagged a wicket was declared Man of the Match. Best Batsman was bagged by Tushar Singh and Abuzar Khan was declared as the Best Bowler.
Sultan Tipu Team members were Mohd. Arif (Captain), Yunus Ali Khan, Abuwar Khan, Rohan Naveen, Habeeb, Syed Asfan, Abdul Salam, Faizan Khan and Yaseen, Majid.
Mysore Meelad Cricket Association President Javeed Pasha, Members Mubarak, Haseeb Azher, Kouser Pasha, Akram, Abrar Ahmed, Zameer, Afrooz, Noor Ahmed, Sager, Mehboob, Zameer Ahmed, Assad, Rahman and others were present.
