The prize distribution ceremony of inter-college techno-cultural fest “Geethayaana-2017” was held at GSSSIETW premises in city recently. The event was held with the theme ‘Womenation in Techmonetisation.’
Hon. Secretary of GSSS Vanaja B. Pandit was the chief guest. CEO & Management Committee Member of GSSS R. K. Bharath presided over the programme. Dr. Parameshachari, HOD of TCE and chief coordinator of Geethayaana-2017 read out the report. Dr. Reshma Banu, HoD of ISE, announced the winners of various cultural and sports activities.
Rolling trophy was bagged by the students of Department of Computer Science & Engineering; “Geethashri,” an award for overall performance of various cultural and sports was won by H.M. Nandini of 6th Semester, Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
A brain-storming karate show with the theme ‘Stop violence against women’ was presented by the students of GSSSIETW.
The last day of Geethayaana-2017 concluded with the grand event ‘Miss Geethayaana-2017.’
Safura Zohareen, II sem student from the Department of ISE, was crowned Miss Geethayaana while L. Nisarga, VI sem student from the Department of ISE was the first runner-up and Shreya S. Gowda, VI Sem, Department of ISE, emerged 2nd runner-up.
