The students of Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala (VVVS), Saraswathipuram — Prakhyath M. Bharadwaj, N. Skanda, Shubhan Gowli, Ramanath Kini, S. Vinayaka, C. Manogna, K.P. Sreevalli, L. Keerthi and D.R. Aditya Bhat (tabla) — won first prize in the State-level Patriotic Singing Competition conducted by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Mandya in November last and have got selected for Regional-level to be held at Chennai. The winning team is seen with Hon. Secretary R. Vasudev Bhat, Dr. H.K. Ramanath, Principal S.P. Asha, Head Mistress N. Vasudha, VVPUC Principal H. Sathyaprasad and Music Teacher M. Sujala Gore.
