Winners of State-level Telecommunication Project Model Competition

 Mysuru, Apr. 23- GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, had conducted valedictory of State-level Telecommunication Project Model Competition (TELEUSTAV-2017) on Apr. 17. The programme was organised by the Telecommunication Engineering Department (Accredited by NBA, New Delhi) in collaboration with IETE Mysuru Centre. (TELEUSTAV-2017).

The session was chaired by Subramanya Rao, Team Lead, Intel, Bengalaru, Dr. M.V. Sathyanarayana, Advisor (PG & Research), GSSSIETW, Mysuru and Convener Teleustav-2017, Dr. B.D. Parameshachari, Professor & Head, Dept. of Telecommunication Engineering.

Coordinator Teleustav-2017 Prof. G. Manjula, Asso. Professor, Dept. of TCE, the Staff, students of TCE and participants from other colleges were present.

Dr. Parameshachari informed that the idea to conduct TELEUSTAV-2017 was given by CEO R.K. Bharath and Principal Dr. K.A. Sumithra Devi to bring the Telecommunication engineering students of all VTU affiliated Engineering Colleges on one platform for motivating and uplift of Telecommunication Engineering students. On the occasion, certificates were distributed to the winners and participants. First, second and third place winners were awarded with cash prize.

The Winners

First prize: P.S. Bharath Gowda, A. Rahul Kumar, N.S. Sirisha, Nishkala of KS Institute of Technology Bengaluru, for the project titled ‘Implementation of humanoid robot arm using spatial augmented reality.’

Second prize: S. Nagaraj, M.A. Pooja, Sameer Kulharni, Sahitya of Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, for the project titled ‘LCD Display for railways and human detection on railway track to reduce suicidal attempts.’

The third prize was shared by the two teams for the project titled “Automation irrigation System” by S. Praveen Kumar, N. Akarsh, R. Naveen, Rahul Roy of MVJ College of Engineering Bengaluru, and for “Evidence Collection From Car Black Box using Smartphones” by S. Shilpa, H.M. Manasa, Sadaf Shahana Mariam, Samana Fathima of GSSSIETW, Mysuru.
