Under the aegis of Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL), a poster and quiz competition were held recently at St. Joseph’s First Grade College. Principal Prof C.M. Mani presided.
D.K. Dinesh Kumar, Project Engineer, KREDL, spoke about the role of renewable energy and energy conservation in the present scenario. He stressed on the use of solar panels and windmills.
Dean (Academics) Prof. Mallikarjuna Setty was present. Student Tejaswini proposed a vote of thanks.
In all, 104 students had participated in written quiz contest and 15 students participated in poster presentation.
Prize winners: Written quiz: Aistal Suzanne of first year BBA – first prize; Ashna of third year B.Com – second; Srinivas of second BSc. – third; Ramya of first BBA and Ranjith of third year B.Com- consolation prizes.
Poster presentation: Prateek-sha of second year BBM – first prize, Devika of third year B.Sc – second, Lavanya of first B.Com – third; Nayana of first BBA – consolation prize.
