Wins Best Paper Award at Mini Project Symposium

Mysuru: The Department of Telecommunication Engineering, GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, in association with IEEE Student Chapter Region 10 (Bengaluru), had organised Mini Project Symposium-2018 recently through Forum of Engineering Students of Telecommunication (FEST).

Chief guest Venkatesh Murthy, Executive Director, Engineering, Velankani Software Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mini Project Symposium-2018 coordinator Dr. B.D. Prameshachari, Head, Department of TCE and HoDs of various Departments, Project Coordinators, Faculty members and final year students were present.

The Department had invited alumni M. Manasa, Project Developer, Tesla Semiconductors, Bengaluru and Sarika of BSNL, Mysuru, for  reviewing the technical papers presented during the Symposium.

The mini-project symposium helps students to focus on new technologies and innovative ideas and gives a platform to present their ideas. The Alumni’s shared their industrial experience and motivated the students for research activities. Mini Project presentation certificates were distributed to all the students.

Best paper was awarded to paper entitled ‘Estimation of pitch period of given speech signal using Praat’ by Poornima, B.R. Ambika, S. Thanushree and R. Meghana.
