Mysuru’s Brightest Kid Award

Mysuru:  Saanvi R. Prabhu, a Class 9 student at Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala, has won ‘Buddhimaan – 2019’ (Mysuru’s Brightest Kid Award) contest. The contest was conducted by Purna Chetana Public School through Star of Mysore.

During the contest, children’s creative thinking, problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability, which are essential skills for 21st century kids, was tested using seven different thought-provoking questions. There were total of more than 100 entries and answers received was independently evaluated by three evaluators — Dr. C.G. Nagaraj, Educationist and retd. Head Master, DMS-RIE Mysuru; Dr. Rajini, renowned Child Psychologist; Shamsundar Subbarao, Head, NIE-CREST and Associate Professor, NIE, Mysuru.

There were total 7 finalists shortlisted for the final round: Top 7 shortlisted participants were as follows: Saanvi R. Prabhu – Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala; Maleha Iram – Regional International School; M. Rhea – St. Joseph Central School; Apoorva R. Bhat – Excel Public School; Manya Eshwar – St. Joseph Central School; Kushi K. Samani – DAV Public School; Niharika Chandan – Excel Public School.

After the final round, Saanvi Prabhu has been selected as Buddhimaan – 2019.

Winner got Rs.10,000 cash prize and Creative Memento from Purna Chetana Public School.

Saanvi is daughter of N. Ravindra Prabhu (Telecom Technician in BSNL) and Raksha R. Prabhu (Teacher at NGO in Mysuru).
