Wins doubles at ITF J30 Tennis Tourney

Arzan Khorakiwala, a budding Under-16 tennis player from Mysuru, has participated in ITF J30 Tennis Tournament held at Pokhara in Nepal in November-December, 2023.

In the first week of Tournament, Arzan teamed up with Disha Behera to emerge Doubles Champion. In the finals, the duo beat Angel Patel & Yashika Shokeen 6-2, 6-1, to win the title. Earlier, in the semi-finals, they beat Sherry Sharma & Riddhi Shinde 6-3, 6-0 and in quarter-finals, they defeated Devanshi Gohil & Sunira Thapa 6-1, 7-6(3) to move forward.

In the 2nd week of the Tournament, Arzan became runner-up in Singles. In the finals, she lost against 1st seed Utaasakura 2-6, 1-6 and settled for second place. Earlier, she beat Vamika Sharma 6-1, 6-0 in semi-finals and 2nd seed Ishi Maheshwari 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(4) in the  quarter-finals.

For the past 8 months, Arzan Khorakiwala is practicing at Topspin Tennis Academy,  Bengaluru. Earlier, she was training at Raghuveer  Tennis Academy, Mysuru.  Arzan, studying through Birla Brainiacs (NIOS) online school, is the daughter of Haider Khorakiwala and Sonali Khorakiwala.
