Wins medals in State-level Swimming Championship

Mysore/Mysuru: Mohammed Arman Sameer, A Grade 6 student of Kautilya Vidyalaya, has bagged 2 medals in Karanataka NRJ Junior and Sub-Junior Championship held from July 4 at Basavanagudi Aquatics, Bengaluru.

Gold medal in Breaststroke 50m with the timing of 41.69 sec and silver medal in 100m Breaststroke with the timing of 1:31:68.

He is selected for Nationals in both the categories. Nationals will  be held at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, to be held from Aug. 6 to 12.

He is practising in BSRC Pool Chamundivihar Stadium, Mysuru, under Coach V. Pranav.

Mohammed Arman Sameer is the son of M.N. Sameer Ahmed and Misbah Amreen, residents of Udayagiri, Mysuru.
