Chamarajanagar: B.R. Hemanth, a resident of Kodi Moole Basavanapura here, has won Mr. India title at the National-level body-building competition organised by Fitness International Federation at Goa on Saturday last.
Taking part in Men’s Junior and Senior Physique competition, Hemanth won the overall championship. Speaking to Star of Mysore, Hemanth said that he started preparing for the competition last year with an aim to emerge victorious and added that he was happy to have reached his goal.
“Now that I have achieved my feat at National-level, my aim is to take part in international body-building competitions to be held in Thailand and Dubai next year,” he added.
Currently working as fitness instructor in Mangaluru, he completed MBA from Srinivasa Institute of Technology, also in Mangaluru. He is the son of B.R. Ravikumar, a farmer and Hema couple, residents of Kodi Moole Basavanapura at Yalandur taluk in Chamarajanagar district.
