Wins prize in Forest Dept. photography contest

Mysore/Mysuru: M. Shivakumar from the city has won first prize in ‘Bird Viewing and Bird Photography’ competition, organised by Mysuru Regional Division of Forest Department, as part of 71st Wildlife Week celebrations recently.

Shivakumar’s photo of ‘Spot Billed Pelican With Its Mouth Open’, shot at Lingambudhi Lake in city, was adjudged for the first prize, followed by Kashyap and Ravindralal, who secured second and third prize respectively.

At the prize distribution ceremony organised at Aranya Bhavan in the city, Ravikumar, Conservator of Forest (CF), Mysuru Circle, handed over the award in the category of ‘Co-existence of Man and Wildlife.’ Forest Officer Paramesh and others were present.
