Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a witness in a case who had come to depose in the Malalavadi (Jayanagar) Court Complex, died in the Court premises reportedly due to a heart attack on Monday.
S. Nandeesh (36) of Mandakalli in the taluk, is the deceased.
Nandeesh had come to the Court to depose as a witness in a case, when he suddenly collapsed in the Court premises. But he died while being rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, it is learnt. Meanwhile, the Mysore Bar Association has demanded setting up a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in the Court premises.
Association Secretary B. Shivanna said that the Association has been demanding setting up of a PHC in the Court premises for years. But the Health Department was hesitant to set up a PHC in the Court premises citing a rule that the minimum distance between any two PHCs must be 5 kms, he said.
Pointing out that thousands of people visit the Courts every day, Shivanna urged for setting up a Health Centre in the Court premises in the interests of the people and also open a Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
