Case against couple at Alanahalli Police Station
Mysuru: A woman has lodged a complaint with Alanahalli Police, alleging that a couple harassed and assaulted her after she refused to work at a place where, according to her, a flesh trade racket was being run. The case has been registered against ‘Gold’ Ganesh and his wife Sunita.
In her complaint, the woman said, she works in the finance sector and knew ‘Gold’ Ganesh, who had introduced himself to her as a financier. She said that when she fell ill, she had borrowed money from him and later repaid the loan with interest.
She further stated that on July 9, when ‘Gold’ Ganesh got a rent agreement executed for a house at KHB Colony in Kuvempunagar, she paid him Rs. 1 lakh, following which the agreement was made in her name.
The woman said, she believed that ‘Gold’ Ganesh was running a finance business from the rented house. She claimed that she used to record customer deposits in a register kept in one of the rooms.
She also alleged that her PhonePe QR code was shared with men and women who visited the house and that they transferred instalment amounts to her bank account. She said, she would then transfer the money to Sunita’s bank account every day.
However, she said she later came to know that ‘Gold’ Ganesh was running a flesh trade racket from the premises. She subsequently stopped visiting the house.
According to her complaint, on Aug. 1, ‘Gold’ Ganesh and Sunita came to her house, asked her to return to work and allegedly assaulted her when she refused.
Based on her complaint, Alanahalli Police have registered a case and are investigating.
