Nanjangud: A 29-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances and the deceased woman’s parents, alleging foul play, have lodged a Police complaint in this regard.
The incident took place at Himmavu village in the taluk and the deceased woman is Baby, wife of Umesh of the village and daughter of Kumar alias Guddappa and Jayalakshmi couple. Baby was given in marriage to Umesh 10 years back and the couple have a six-year-old son.
The body of Baby was found hanging from the ceiling fan with bruises on her body in the room of the house and her parents have alleged that Baby has been murdered for dowry.
Nanjangud Rural Sub-Inspector Chandru and staff, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case, shifted the body to the mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to Baby’s family members. The Cops have launched a hunt to nab Baby’s husband and in-laws, who have gone absconding.
