Woman killed as lorry hits

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman was killed on the spot when a speeding truck rammed into her on Mysuru-Nanjangud Highway near Mandakalli yesterday evening.

Though the deceased woman has been identified as Sannamma (60), of Udbur village, the Police have not clarified it and no other details are known.

Sannamma, who alighted the KSRTC Bus on the Highway, was crossing the road to go to Mandakalli, when the truck rammed into her killing her.

Mysuru South Police, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar and have shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru for post-mortem.
