Mysore/Mysuru: A 54-year-old woman was killed on the spot, when a truck hit her scooter and ran over her near GRS Fantasy Park on the Outer Ring Road close to the Railway Under Bridge yesterday afternoon. The deceased woman has been identified as Swarna, wife of Baburaj and a resident of Jaji Layout, opposite JK Tyres in city.
Swarna was proceeding on her scooter on the Service Road from GRS Fantasy Park side towards KRS Road, when an 18-wheel truck, which was taking a turn from the Service Road to the Main Road towards Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway, hit the scooter and ran over Swarna at about 3.50 pm, killing her on the spot.
V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector Prasanna and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to the mortuary besides registering a case.
