Woman tourist’s bag stolen at hotel

Mysore/Mysuru: A miscreant has stolen a bag of a woman tourist at a hotel near City Railway Station on Monday.

The tourist, who lost the bag containing a laptop, three debit cards, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, ear phones, silver earring and Rs. 500 cash, is 25-year-old Anuriti Priya, a native of Ranchi in Jharkhand, who is working at a private company in Bengaluru.

Priya had come to Mysuru along with her father Ajay Kumar Sinha and mother Rita Kumari Sinha for sightseeing and after two days of tour of the city and surrounding tourist spots, they reached City Railway Station to leave for Bengaluru on June 13.

When they came to know that the train which was scheduled to depart to Bengaluru at 12.50 pm was delayed by three hours, Priya, along with her mother went to a hotel close to the Railway Station for lunch.

While having lunch, Priya had kept her bag on the chair and after having her lunch she saw that her bag was missing and contacted the Hotel Manger, who went through the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the hotel and saw a man making away with the bag.

Based on the complaint from Priya, Mandi Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
