Mysore/Mysuru: A 37-year-old woman and a 22-year-old youth, claiming to have been married, have approached Mysuru Superintendent of Police (SP) Office seeking protection.
Kavitha, a widow and resident of Challaghatta in Bengaluru and Bhaskar, a resident of Rammanahalli on the outskirts of city, were in love since a year. The couple got married at Lakshmi Venkataramanaswamy Temple at Vontikoppal in city.
Bhaskar, who was an autorickshaw driver in Bengaluru, used to regularly pick up Kavitha and her mother Bhagyamma from their house and drop them to Bande Makaalamma Temple, regularly during which love is said to have blossomed between the two.
Kavitha told media persons that following low blood pressure, her husband had passed away and she has a 14-year-old son. She alleged that she was being harassed at her father’s house and added that she had got married to Bhaskar, whom she knew since a year.
Alleging threat from her father and a relative, the couple sought Police protection.
