Mysore/Mysuru: There is a need for education of women as they are the real architects of the world, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) – Law and Order, Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda.
Speaking at a function organised to celebrate International Women’s Day at Daksha PU College here recently, the DCP stated that women continue to contribute to social, economic, cultural and political achievement and added that men and women can pledge to take concrete steps to help achieve gender balance quickly by helping women and girls achieve their ambitions and develop more inclusive and flexible cultures.
Chairman of Global Education Trust promoting Daksha PU College P. Jayachandra Raju, who also spoke, said that today’s women are multi-faceted as they take care of the family as well as their aspirations and announced the commencement of BBA and B.Com specialised Honours programmes for the first time at GTA Academy for the academic year 2021-22.
DCP Dr. Prakash Gowda, along with Jayachandra Raju, planted a sapling in the college campus in a view to keep the campus clean and green.
