Mysuru – Two separate incidents of women committing suicide, one by hanging self and the other falling under a moving train, have been reported in city.
In the first incident, a woman, committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Nagawala, Mysuru taluk on Tuesday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Ashwini (22), wife of Shankar, residing in Nagawala, Yelwal hobli in city.
A native of Nagawara village in H.D. Kote taluk, Ashwini was married to Shankar about four years ago and it is learnt that the couple had differences from the beginning.
Depressed over this, Ashwini allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday at about 3 pm by hanging self when other members of the family were away. Yelwal Police, who rushed to the spot on receiving information, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.
In the second incident, an unidentified woman committed suicide by coming under a moving train between Srirangapatna and Pandavapura Railway Stations.
The unidentified woman, said to be about 30 years, is 5.6 ft. tall and normal built. Railway Police SI Krishnamurthy and staff, who received information about the body being found on Wednesday, rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary.
