Women Congress leaders stage demonstration

Bengaluru: Strongly condemning Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar’s ‘monogamy test’ remark in the Legislative Assembly, the women Congress leaders and workers staged a demonstration in front of Congress Bhavan on Queens Road here on Thursday.

Condemning former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi’s sleaze CD case, the protestors who held CDs, raised slogans against Minister Dr. Sudhakar, former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi and the BJP Government in the State.

Maintaining that Minister Dr.Sudhakar’s remark on ‘monogamy test’ was an insult to the Legislature, they accused the Government of rampant corruption and  immorality. Questioning Dr. Sudhakar’s statement, they claimed that the Minister is unfit to be in power.

Pledging to fight for rendering justice to the woman victim in sleaze CD case, they alleged that Dr. Sudhakar has not only insulted the Legislature, but also women Legislators. 

Accusing Dr. Sudhakar of arrogance, they urged the Chief Minister to sack him, if he does not voluntarily resign.

KPCC Women’s Wing President Dr. Pushpa Amarnath, MLAs Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Sowmya Reddy and Roopakala Shashidhar, leaders Kusuma Shivalli, Vasantha Kavitha  and others were took part.
