A three-day women empowerment workshop for college students was inaugurated by  B.S Parthasarathy, President, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions,  on Mar. 3 at the Audio Visual Hall of Sarada Vilas College.

Speaking on the occasion, Parthasarathy reminded the students of the letter written by Sudha Murty to JRD Tata demanding representation for women in Tata concerns.

He said that Sarada Vilas Educational Institution has contributed for women empowerment by appointing lady staff members for a number of vacant posts.

H.K. Srinath, Hon. Secretary of Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions, lauded the efforts of the organisers.

Principal  Dr. K.J. Muralidhara and  Deepak Bohra of Bharathiya Jain Sanghatana also spoke.

Dr. S. Vimala, Assistant Professor of Kannada, Sarada Vilas College, conducted the workshop jointly hosted by Sarada Vilas College and Bharathiya Jain Sanghatana.
