The Department of Women and Child Welfare had organised a day-long District-level Sports Meet for women as part of International Women’s Day celebrations at Chamundi Vihar Stadium this morning. Around 50 women, all winners of Taluk-level sports meet, took part in 100 mts sprint, 200 mts sprint, lemon and spoon race, shot put events. The winners from the District-level will be selected for State-level competition to be held later in the year.
