Mysore/Mysuru: City’s Mahila Samanvaya Vedike has organised a one-day expo of products made by women entrepreneurs at Gopalaswamy Shishuvihara School premises near Nanju Malige in city on July 9.

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, Vedike Convenor Lavanya said Additional SP B.N. Nandini will inaugurate the expo at 9.30 am. Pointing out the expo has been organised with an objective of women empowerment, she said the expo will be open till 4 pm.

The expo will feature display and sale of a variety of products and articles made by women and women entrepreneurs. The products that will be on display include art works, handicraft works, dress materials, sarees, bakery products, Ready to eat food products etc. So far, 32 women entrepreneurs have registered for the expo, she added.

The expo will also feature a painting contest for school children from LKG to 10th standard, beginning from 11 am. The valedictory will take place at 4.30 pm, which will be presided over by social activists Cheluvambike and Sadhana Tantri, she said.
