Women’s Day by Rotary Midtown

March 19, 2025

Mysuru: Rotary Mysore Midtown celebrated International Women’s Day at Chiguru Ashram, a shelter for destitute and mentally ill women in Koorgalli, Mysuru, recently.

The Ashram is providing shelter to over 40 women and taking care of their daily needs.

As part of its service activities, Rotary Midtown had earlier extended support to the Ashram by building an event hall and a resting place. Chiguru Ashram is a collaborative venture of Janaseva Trust founded by Sushma Ravi.

On the occasion, Rotary Midtown honoured Sushma for her dedicated service towards humanity and Amrit Rakesh, an international-fame yoga teacher, for her contribution towards the aged and the downtrodden.

Rotary Midtown also recognised five lady members for their contributions to society.
