Workshop on competitive exams held in city

Mysuru:  A one-day workshop on Competitive Exams for students of post-matric hostels run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department was held at Kalamandira here recently.

The workshop jointly organised by the District Administration, ZP and Backward Classes Welfare Department was aimed at educating the hostel students on UPSC, KPSC and a host of other competitive exams. Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep, Mayor Bhagyavathi, Dy. Mayor M. Indira, ZP members Beerihundi Basavanna and Dr. Pushpa Amarnath, Backward Classes Welfare Officer G.S. Somashekar and others were present.

Resource persons R. Upendra Shetty, Ajay Bidari, Jagadish, Abhishek, Suman Bandi guided the students on applying and preparations for competitive exams.

Over 400 students from post-matric hostels participated.
