Mysore/Mysuru: The Centre for Leadership and Social Development, The School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, the Department of Studies (DoS) in Social Work, University of Mysore and National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mysuru Chapter, have jointly organised a workshop on ‘Leadership & Social Development’ at EMMRC Auditorium, Manasagangothri, Mysuru, on Apr. 29 at 10 am.
The subject chosen is relevant in shaping the future leaders and leadership in professional areas, development sectors, Industry organisations and community. The invitees will be CEOs, Unit Heads, HR, IR CSR Professionals from Industry and Organisations.
Faculty and students from various educational Institutions imparting education in HR, Community Work, Medical Psychiatry, Counselling and Social Work, Practicing Social Workers, Counsellors and NGOs working in development sector.
Dr. V. Prakash, former Director, CFTRI – Mysuru, Distinguished Scientist of CSIR – India and Padma Shri award recipient, will be the keynote speaker and will address on the subject ‘Leadership.’
Dr. M. Indira, Professor of Economics (retd.), DoS in Economics and Cooperation, University of Mysore, will deliver a talk on ‘Social Development.’
During the workshop, the book ‘Legacy of a Legend – Dr. Olinda Pereira, A Pioneer in Social Work Education & Practice’ will be released.
Dr. Olinda Pereira is the former Founder Principal, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, who was well-known for her contribution to society as Institution builder, educationist, Social Worker in India and abroad.
