A one-day UGC-sponsored National-level workshop on ‘Placement Training for Life Science Students’ was held at JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science on B.N. Road here on Saturday.
The workshop was hosted by Post-Graduate Departments of Biotechnology and Bio-Chemistry of the College.
Speaking after inaugurating the workshop, Dr. Gautam Banerjee, Head, Strategic Science Group, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., said that students should pursue their chosen career with dedication and determination.
College CEO Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, in his presidential address, said that the workshop had been organised in association with public and private sector units. Observing that the workshop was of great help to the students in fine-tunning their skills, he expressed the hope that the workshop will be of great inspiration for students to build their career and increase their self-confidence.
College Principal Prof. M. Mahadevappa, PG Departments Heads Dr. B.Y. Satish Kumar and Dr. M. Chetan Kumar and others were present.
