Mysuru: A two-day training-cum-workshop on Rajbhasha Hindi for Central Government employees in Mysuru was held at Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Manasagangothri here recently.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. D.G. Rao, Director, CIIL and Chairman, Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Mysuru. In his speech, he stressed on the importance of Rajbhasha Hindi in day-to-day activities of Government of India establishments.
Pankaj Dwivedi, Hindi Officer, CIIL and Secretary, TOLIC, welcomed the participants and briefed about official language Acts and Rules, 1963.
Dr. Madhavi, AD(A), RMP, BARC, Mysuru, spoke on the cultural, socio-linguistics, constitutional provisions and policy related aspects of Hindi.
In the afternoon session, Dr. Sanjay Prasad Srivaastava, Junior Resource Person (Academic-Hindi), NTS-I, CIIL, delivered a talk on official writing in Hindi while Dr. Biresh Kumar, RP, NTS-I, CIIL, discussed about the grammatical aspects and functional usage of Hindi language.
