World Day Against Trafficking in Persons-2026 tomorrow

Mysuru: World Day Against Trafficking in Persons- 2026 will be observed at ZP’s Abdul Nazir Sab auditorium tomorrow (Sept. 3) at 10 am.

The programme is jointly organised by District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Department of Police, Women and Child Development, District Child Protection Wing, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Department of School Education and PU Education, Child Welfare Committee, Backward Classes Department, Mysore Bar Association, International Justice Mission (IJM), Vikasana Organisation, Madilu Education and Rural Development organisation.

B.N. Usha Rani, Principal District and Sessions Judge of Mysuru and Chairman of DLSA, will inaugurate. ZP CEO S. Ukesh Kumar will preside.

Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, SP Mallikarjun Baladandi, Senior Civil Judge and DLSA Member-Secretary Nagaraja Siddappa Ankasadoddi, Asst. Labour Commissioner Lalitabai, Bar Association President S. Lokesh and officials of various departments will participate.

A.V. Vibha Verghese, advocate and CEO will speak on ‘Prevention of Human Trafficking, Bonded Labour and  Bonded Labour Act’ while Psychologist Padam on ‘Human Trafficking and Handling Bonded Labour Issues.’
