Prof. K.L. Padmini Hegde’s work ‘Rasaharshavarsha’ released
Mysore/Mysuru: Asserting that the world is gripped by the darkness of an emotionless life, senior Journalist from Uttara Kannada K. Krishnamurthy Hebbar Karki regretted that we are living in a lifeless world that is lacking in emotion and caring.
He was speaking after releasing writer Prof. K.L. Padmini Hegde’s work titled ‘Rasaharshavarsha’ at a programme organised by Kavyaranjini Sabha at Namana Kalamantapa in Krishnamurthypuram here yesterday.
Bemoaning that we are living in a lifeless and listless world amidst concrete jungles and skyscrapers, Krishnamurthy maintained that in the past, Ramayana and Vachanas used to be read out in houses, which spurred a life of enthusiasm among the population.
Observing that as human beings, we have to understand the pains, sorrows and joys of others, he regretted that we are leading such a modernity driven mechanical life where we tend to ignore the plight of our fellow human beings. “We have failed in guiding the people on treading the right path of life,” he added.
