Mysuru: Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Mysuru Branch, in association with J.C. Tech Apparels, Mysuru, celebrated World Health Day in city recently.
The programme was inaugurated by Channappaji of J.C Tech Apparels. Dr. S.S. Malini, Associate Professor of Zoology, University of Mysore, who delivered the keynote address, said that health is wealth and good health of people is necessary for the upliftment of the society. She focussed on the importance of women in the betterment of the family.
Prof. S.N. Hegde, Chairperson, FPAI, who presided, highlighted the activities of FPAI and announced that a Home Based Nursing Care training programme of four months duration will be started shortly for High School drop-outs.
Dr. Mylahalli Revanna, Member of FPAI, was the chief guest. A free health check-up camp was organised for the employees of J.C Tech Apparels on the occasion.
