World Leprosy Day-2023 at Sarada Vilas tomorrow

Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, has organised a programme to observe World Leprosy Day-2023 with the theme ‘Act Now-End Leprosy’ at its S. Chinnaswamy Setty Conference Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here tomorrow (Feb. 25) at 10 am. This year’s theme has three key messages — Elimination is possible: We have the power and tools to stop transmission and defeat this disease; Act now: We need the resources and commitment to end leprosy. Prioritise leprosy elimination; Reach the unreached: Leprosy is preventable and treatable. Suffering from leprosy is needless.

N. Chandrashekhar, Hon. Secretary, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions, Mysuru, will be the chief guest while Dr. M.N. Raghuveer, Associate Professor, Department of Surgery, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) and Dr. Chandrashekhar of Aditya Hospital, Gokulam, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.  Sarada Vilas Pharmacy College Principal Dr. Hanumanthachar Joshi will preside, according to a press release.
