As part of World Theatre Day celebrations, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University has organised a programme at its premises tomorrow (Mar. 27).

Senior theatrist Dr. Na. Ratna will inaugurate the programme at 11 am. Theatrist Prof. H.S. Umesh will deliver a special lecture. Music University VC Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar will preside.

The occasion will feature staging of Dr. R. Purnima’s play ‘Exploitation and towards empowerment’ at 10 am; Launch of theatrist Srikanta Gundappa’s website ‘Ranga Nidhi,’ releasing of book ‘Jote Kootu Maatu’ at 11 am and followed by Rangageetegalu by theatre students.

Amateur Theatre Artists Association: The Mysuru District Amateur Theatre Artists Association has also organised a programme at Maneyangala, Kalamandira, tomorrow (Mar. 27) at 6 pm, to mark the World Theatre Day celebrations.

Senior theatrist Dr. Rameshwari Verma will inaugurate the event. Theatrist K.R. Sumati will read out the World Theatre Day Message. Kannada and Culture Asst. Director H. Chennappa and theatrist Mime Ramesh will be present. B.R. Raghavendra and troupe will present Rangageetegalu on the occasion.
