World Tourism Day celebration tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Travels Association (MTA) will be celebrating World Tourism Day tomorrow (Sept. 27) at 10.30 am at Mysore Palace South Gate. 

The titular head of Mysuru Royal Family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will inaugurate the Tourism Day celebration by welcoming the tourists with sweets and flowers.

Members from Mysuru Travels Association, Hotel Owners Association, Karnataka Tourism Department and all other Tourism Department fraternity will participate in the celebrations.

Also, a special programme will be held at Jayalakshmi Vilas Museum, University of Mysore, at 11.30 am along with Karnataka Tourism Department, Hotel Owners Association, to celebrate World Tourism Day in a unique way at a historical site not much popularised.

Dr. M.J. Manjunath, Director, Jayalakshmi Vilas Museum, will inaugurate the unique Tourism Day event.

Federation of Organisations and Associations President B.S. Prashanth and Vice-President C. Narayanagowda and Assistant Director of Tourism Department H.B. Raghavendra will be present on the occasion, according to a press release from World Tourism Day Celebration Committee Chairman A.N. Aiyanna.
