Mysuru Travels Association plans big matching Dasara splendour

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Travels Association (MTA) will celebrate World Tourism Day in city on Sept. 27, matching the grandeur of Mysuru Dasara, scheduled from Sept. 22.

In a press release, Chairman of World Tourism Day Committee Anil Raj has stated that following a good spell of rainfall this year, due to the blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari, the State has prospered with the people living happily.

With the State Government deciding to celebrate Dasara on a grand scale, the MTA has also decided to celebrate World Tourism Day on a bigger scale.

As part of the celebrations, the tourists at Mysore Palace will be greeted with bouquet and sweets, in the accompaniment of Nadaswara artistes, followed by a programme in front of the Palace.

A Reception Committee comprising the President and office-bearers of MTA, Mysuru District Hotel Owners Association, other dignitaries and top officers of various Government departments, will be formed. A felicitation ceremony will be conducted, followed by a grand procession.
