Yaduveer conducts Vijaya Yatre

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, seated in a silver chariot drawn by cattle, taking out a Vijaya Yatre on Vijayadashami at the Palace premises yesterday.

Mysuru: Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar took out a Vijaya Yatre on Vijayadashami at the Palace premises yesterday.

Seated in a silver chariot drawn by cattle, he went around the Palace and offered Banni Puja at Sri Bhuvaneshwari Temple. The people who had already gathered in huge numbers in the premises, cheered and greeted him. The Yatre was witnessed by his wife Trishikha Kumari Wadiyar, mother Pramoda Devi Wadiyar and others related to the Royal family.

Ayudha Puja in Palace

On Friday, Yaduveer performed Ayudha Puja inside the Palace. He offered puja at the Kodi Someshwara Temple, following which ‘Poornahuti’ ritual was performed in the Palace’s Chandi Homa site. Later, pujas were performed to Pattada Aane, Pattada Hasu and Pattada Kudure at around 11.30 am, following which pujas were performed to weapons at about 12.15 pm.

The last private Durbar (Khas Durbar) was held at the Palace Durbar Hall at 7 pm, following which ‘Simha Visarjane’ and ‘Kanaka Visarjane’ were performed.
