Yakshagana programme

As part of its 15th Anniversary celebrations, Karavali Yakshagana Kendra, Mysuru, has organised Yakshagana programme at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here on Jan. 11.

2 pm: Purvaranga by Badagu and Tenkutittu students. 2.45 pm: Tenkutittu students will  be presenting Yakshagana ‘Mainda Dvivida Kalaga’ — written by Halasinahalli Narasimha Shastry and directed by Eshwarachandra Bhat, Nidle; Costumes & Make-up by K. Venkatesh Mayya and team, Puttur. 5.30 pm: Stage programme.  Sridhar Aithal, President, Karavali Yakshagana Kendra, will preside.  Dr. T. Dayananda Chouta, former President of Bunts Association, Mysuru & Doctors Association, Mysuru and S. Sudhakar Rai, former Administrative Member, Karnataka State Cricket Association, will be the chief guests. 6.15 pm: Badagutittu students will be presenting Yakshagana ‘Sri Ramanjaneya Kalaga’ — written by Kadandale B. Ramaraya and directed by Manoj Bhat; Costumes & Make-up by Sri Brahmashree Kalavedike, Bengaluru.
