Mysuru: Karavali Kalaniketana, in association with Kalasandesha Pratishtana and Brahmavidya, has organised Yakshagana shows at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium on May 20 and 21. Entry is free.
Dr. Bellipadi Satish Rai, President, Bellipadi Yaksha Samskrutika Vedike, will inaugurate the programme ‘Karavali Kaushala-2017’ on May 20 at 5.30 pm.
Vidu. Prof. Sheela Sridhar, Principal, Fine Arts College, Mysuru, will be the chief guest. Music Scholar Dr. R.S. Nandakumar will preside.
The inauguration will follow Yakshagana ‘Moha Menake’ by Mantapa Prabhakara Upadhya and troupe. This is the 100th show of the play.
On May 21 at 5.45 pm, Sri Chamundeshwari Krupa Poshita Yakshagana Mandali of Mysuru will present ‘Mahishamardhini – Devi Mahatme’ directed by K. Krishnakumaracharya.
