Yoga practitioner drowns in River Cauvery

Kollegal: A Yoga practitioner was drowned while taking a holy dip in River Cauvery at Dasanapura village on Saturday.

The deceased is N. Nagarajan, a resident of Vinayaka Gudi Street at Hale Agrahara in the town.

Saturday being the third day of Narayanaswamy Rathotsava, Nagarajan had gone to Dasanapura village on Saturday and ventured into River Cauvery for a holy dip.

While he was swimming across the River to reach the other side, Nagarajan reportedly drowned.

A case has been registered in this regard at Kollegal Town Police Station.
