Ishwar Sharma, a 13-year-old Yoga Prodigy representing UK, has won Gold Medal in the European Yoga Championship 2023 held at Malmo, Sweden.

The Championship was conducted by International Yoga Sports Federation, Switzerland, in collaboration with Swedish Yoga Sport’s Association in November.

Ishwar had earlier won 5 World Championships and had been awarded ‘Point of Light Award’ by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2022 and British Citizen Youth Award at the House of Lords for his contribution towards yoga.

Ishwar has won three gold medals at the 5th Yoga World Cup and Festival held in Canada. This was organised by Yoga Ministry of Canada.

Ishwar’s parents Dr. Nanjundiah Vishwanath and Dr. Mamatha Vishwanath, both born and brought up in Mysuru, are Consultant Radiologists in London.
