Yogathon-2022 at Race Course on Sept. 17

Following the State Government’s instructions to organise Yogathon-2022 at 20 districts marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations, the District Administration will hold the event at Mysore Race Course in city on Sept. 17 at 9 am.

Speaking to Star of Mysore after the preliminary meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy said that Yogathon is organised to set a Guinness World Record. “We are looking forward to set a record by gathering over 50,000 people for the Yoga event. Accordingly, Schools, Colleges, Yoga institutions, private and Government organisations and others have been communicated about the same and are asked to join the event to make it successful. Preparations are underway for the mega event where the programme will be for one hour,” he added.
