Mysore/Mysuru: A youth was allegedly stabbed over petty reasons at Kyathamaranahalli on Tuesday night. While the victim has been identified as Prasanna, son of Channappa of Kyathamaranahalli, the accused is Shivu, his (Prasanna) relative. 

The incident took place near Chikkagaradi and Prasanna, who has sustained injuries, has been admitted to K.R. Hospital here.

It is learnt that wordy duel ensued between Shivu and Prasanna over family issues and Shivu in a fit of rage allegedly stabbed Prasanna and injured him. 

Udayagiri Police, who rushed to the spot, shifted the injured to K.R. Hospital besides registering a case. Accused Shivu was arrested yesterday morning.
