Four laptops, one mobile phone and one two-wheeler seized
Mysuru: Nazarbad Police on Aug. 19, have arrested a youth on charges of stealing electronic gadgets such as laptops and mobile phones from parked cars after breaking the glass and have recovered four laptops and a mobile phone besides seizing the bike.
The arrested youth has been identified as Rajesh, a resident of Yechagalli village in Nanjangud taluk.
The Police, acting on a tip off, found Rajesh standing with a TVS Apache bike near Maharaja complex in a suspicious manner and took him into custody.
When they searched his bag, the Cops found a laptop and on interrogating him, the accused is said to have confessed of stealing the laptop and a mobile phone from parked cars by breaking the glass with a stone in K.R. and Nazarbad Police limits.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered four laptops, one Samsung S8 phone and have seized the bike, all worth about Rs. 2.60 lakh from him.
