Mysuru/Mysore: A 28-year-old, said to be depressed in life, has committed suicide by jumping into Varuna lake on the outskirts of city. His body was found floating in the lake this morning.

The deceased is Basavanna, a resident of Bugathagalli village.

Basavanna, who spoke to his friends at about 5 pm yesterday, had told them that he was ending his life. He had not gone to his home last night and his body was found floating in the lake this morning.

Varuna Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
