Srirangapatna: A 30-year-old man, accused of behaving indecently with a woman has been hacked to death by the woman’s relative at Belagola village in the taluk on Wednesday night.
The deceased is Ravi (30), of Belagola village while the accused is 30-year-old Sharath, a tenant in Ravi’s house.
Sharath is said to be a construction worker and Ravi was working as a supplier at a wine store in the village. It is learnt that Ravi had misbehaved with the woman, a relative of Sharath, which had angered him (Sharath).
On Wednesday night, Sharath, who went to the wine store called Ravi outside and when Ravi came out, Sharath attacked Ravi with a machete all of a sudden and hacked him to death, according to Police sources.
KRS Police, who have registered a case, have taken Sharath into custody and are investigating.
