Mysuru, Apr. 8 (BCT)- A 24-year-old youth was killed in the city as a goods vehicle rammed against his bike. The incident occurred on Apr. 5 and the victim has been identified as K.S. Ponnanna, hailing from Bilur village, Ponnappa Santhe near Ponnampet in South Kodagu.
Ponnanna was working for a private company and the incident occurred near the back gate of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research. He was staying in a rented accommodation at Gokulam and on the day of the accident, he had taken his friend’s high-end bike (KA-09-HW-6068).
As he was proceeding towards the Jayadeva Hospital, a goods pick-up vehicle (KA-11-A-8326) rammed against the bike from the rear-end. Due to the impact, Ponnanna was thrown off the bike and he sustained injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital where he breathed his last the same evening. V.V. Puram Police have registered a case.
